Have you seen all the bedrooms on pinterest and in magazines, where they just look so cozy and you want to just jump in bed, cuddle, and watch a movie with hot chocolate?! I have always LOVED that vibe when it comes to a bedroom. I have honestly found it hard to achieve because Luke and I also like everything very straight and clean looking with the bed made and every pillow in its place. I have had to try and create a bedroom look that gave both the feel of neat and clean, but also cozy and ready for a movie night and cuddle session.

Most of the items in our room are from super low budget furniture stores, DIY, or my favorite, Target! You will find the links throughout the post 🙂 

For our bedroom, I wanted to stick with a very simple and clean look! All white bedding with gold accents. I was super picky about our bedding when we were registering for our wedding, but looking back I definitely think I could’ve easily gone with something a little less expensive (although I still do LOVE the look of the linen duvet)! The duvet is from the Hotel Collection at Macy’s as well as the large white pillow cases!
Over the bed we decided to string lights for a more romantic vibe plus it added more way more light! (because without them it was so dark and gloomy even on the sunniest day haha). Studio living right?!
I also love added greenery to any space I can. I added the cutest piece from the Magnolia Hearth & Hand line over our vintage windows (from luke’s moms old farm house!). The Magnolia line has quickly become one of my favorite lines at target! I try and pull ideas from certain looks and only buy very specific items. Their greenery and fake florals are such good quality and look more realistic than most I have seen!

The nightstands were a DIY project I completed years ago, and they have traveled with me everywhere! I bought simple unstained crates and stained them then stacked and secured them into nightstand tables! It was a super simple project and they are strong and sturdy. I would love to use these elsewhere in our home and get nightstands that have more storage (that is also hidden away by drawers) but for now these work perfectly. Our gold lamps are from target as well. Target often has great home decor sales! I always wait until those sales happen to get the best deal, on the specific item I am eyeing! Target, along with TJMaxx and Marshalls has great options for cute fake succulents to add to a nightstand or table as added decor. It is a simple idea, yet adds more to the overall look of the space.

I feel like our bedroom is always a work in progress. I am constantly re-arranging, moving, and choosing new items to go in or out of our little bedroom nook! But I love our little home and space! Its cozy and feels warm and inviting!
