I had the best time creating a simple clean looking space for my girl! It was so much fun nesting and knowing it was going soon have the tiniest little babe in it! my love for clean lines, the color white, and simplicity definitely played a role in how I chose what I wanted in her room.

One of my favorite pieces is Henley’s crib. I love the two-toned (white and natural wood colors). It is a 3-in-1 crib that can convert into a toddler bed and daybed.  The rocking chair is probably the most special piece. My parents saved this chair from when I was a baby. Since becoming pregnant I was hoping to be able to use it in Henley’s room and it worked perfectly with the space. Target carries one similar to ours!
The two rugs we actually used in our living room before we moved! You can see how I styled them in a living space over at my post Home sweet Home. The white shag rug is from target and the all natural fiber rug is from amazon! I love the versatility of both rugs and they add a great mix of textures to the room as well!


One of my favorite details are the velvet pink curtains! I love the difference of texture it adds to the room along with being a bit more girly!n I also got gold curtain rods from Target that I love!
The Ikea shelving unit is one of my favorite parts of her room in terms of storage! I love that I gives me both a dresser and space for ALL the other baby related items (blankets, towels, burn clothes, baby carriers…etc.) that need a home. I love that I could add the storage bins so nothing is seen on the shelves. The drawers are also an added feature that Ikea has for this particular shelving unit!

When I was looking for inspiration for her room I found some watercolor art pieces I loved! I wanted a piece that could be used in her nursery but also be able to work with her room as she gets older! Luke’s family has some amazing artists. I reached out to his cousin Lauren to see if she could do a piece for Henley’s room. I LOVE how she incorporated so many colors as well as the gold accents! It was more than I expected it to be and its my favorite part of Henley’s entire room! Its so special and I can’t wait to tell Henley how loved she is by our family!
